Wikipedia and Digital Maoism

The SLLA entry in Wikipedia has been deleted by the small band of activists that self-police wikipedia in a superb example of Digital Maoism.

We will keep the link up on the side-bar in case a volunteer wishes to re-start the process within wikipedia. As far as the SLLA can tell the effort to delete our entry was driven by no more than two people. The explanation of and description of our movement can still be found in the New York Times, Financial Times, USA Today, and in-world media such as the Second Life Herald. Details also remain available at our webpage.

In order to expand our online presence we are now starting other profiles in other information sharing environments starting with MySpace and also including Orkut.
